olive mae dress giveaway :: CLOSED

The Olive Mae Dress is simply breathtaking. I found the lightweight cream and seal blue fabric in a clearance bin and immediately knew it was perfect for this project. The dress features a ruffled collar, gathered sleeves and a luxurious hemline. The dress bustles at the front = A piece of elastic hooks onto a button and then you pull the remaining fabric over and tie. It's different than anything else I've seen or sewn!
The 'good stuff' that you can't see are serged and french seems. I hand-stitched the neck binding and hem. The neck binding isn't perfect...there is a small edge of fabric that I somehow didn't catch when I was sewing (somewhat of a bummer but it's not very noticeable) and when I was taking if off of B I noticed a few places that I should have sewn closer together. Oh, well!
I purchased the dress pattern from 3Three. I LOVE THIS PATTERN ! It's challenging and yields a unique result. You can check out some pre-made dresses and other lovely items at this shop as well!
