evie quilt

I finished something...a quilt!  So happy that Jeff brought his camera home this weekend to document this occasion.  This is for my sister's soon-to-be born baby girl, Evie.  I used a mixture of oranges, pinks and creams and followed Holly's Herringbone Tutorial to make my blocks.  It was a fun pattern but don't skip over the instructions when trimming up your blocks...I have one wonky square in there 'cause I was in a hurry and didn't think I needed to use a ruler.  And I made my first rounded corners using Nettie's tutorial
These corners are addictive and I can see myself using them for almost every future quilt.

December 1st I will finally be giving away that wonky log cabin quilt that I had promised this past summer!

Changed my mind...giveaway starts now...Happy Thanksgiving!

Your quilt is amazing! I love pink and orange together, and the rounded corners are fun.

And I agree, I could use another night of laughing till we cry :) So fun.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Oh Susannah. I know one thing for sure. Your soon-to-be-niece will be a very lucky girl. This quil is beautiful, the colors match each others perfectly; I love even the wall you have behind, it's a so lovely background.

p.s. thank you for your sweet words. I really wish we were neighbours. Really.
