Bonjour!

To live simply and enjoy life's little pleasures...the sound of rain as it hits the elephant ears in the garden,the glorious smell of lemons, fresh sheets on the bed, sketching and coloring as a family, reading chapter books aloud at night... is what truly matters to my family and me.  This doesn't mean my life is free from stress and chaotic schedules but it does mean that I strive to stay focused on truth and beauty. 

I'm a self taught seamstress, painter, block print maker...I enjoy hearing from Art Nest fans and fellow artists.  

I run an Etsy shop, an eatery with my mother in our quirky southern town, have recently received a scholarship into nursing school, write a monthly column for Try Handmade and am committed to learn from every season of my life. 

Art Nest is a place to celebrate my pursuit to live simply, work hard, and find everyday beauty.
